Default First 300h fill up

Having taken delivery of a 2014 ES 300h about 2 weeks ago I have now had the first fill up. Mine is a Canadian version called the Technology model which is fully equipped. Based on the odometer and trip computer readings the ES covered 905 km at 5.9L/100km which is about 40 mpg U.S.. The fill up took 51.5 litres. There was a 300 km highway trip and another shorter trip so about an equal mix of city and highway driving.

Congrats. I've had mine 10 months and have an average overall all fill-ups of 39.1MPG, with about 60% city driving and about 40% interstate/hwy driving.

don1,

I have the Canadian model as well, but I prefer to keep track of the mileage using MPG rather than l/100km. If you would like to do that, you can go to the settings function using the DISP button on the steering wheel, and go through the various setting menus for the in dash display. One of the menus allows you to pick whether you want to track MPG or l/100km. It will also change your odometer readings to miles instead of km, which most people in the U.S. prefer.

Just thought I would let you have that info in case you didn't like the metric measures.

Happy Driving.

don1- Congrats on your new purchase. You'll love the car and your new found MPG, or is it KMPL?

That's really great information. I've driven several Acura TLs over the years and could never find a setting to display in miles. I travel a bit in the States and always find L/100 km to be awkward when there. Strangely the nav could be switched on the TL but not the MID.
