This makes your ES appear much more aggressive and I really like it. Well done.

I like it too.

just 1 coat? flat black? any prep work beside the tape?

I wonder how it will wear... can you touch up (will it stick to itself?)

I almost did the exact same thing a month ago. I love the look but was wondering what the effect was on the two sensors in the middle part of the front bumper. Will it still sense stuff in front of the car normally? If it does, I'm doing this to my wifes car tomorrow haha

Thanks...yea it looks much better. I used Plasti dip all colors are matte base i think i did about 8 coats. The more you use the better and it peels off with no damage. I was also worried about the sensors but each one works perfect. No other prep work besides masking off the grille.

Good to hear the sensors still work like normal. Probably going to pick up my wife's car on the way home from work and get this done. How many cans of last I dip did 8 coats take you? I have on here at home but don't want to run out

Ramon, have you considered to remove grill and paint it aside? How difficult it might be? Did you mask the condenser? I like how your car looks like but I am not sure if I want to spray everything behind the grill.

I tried to remove the grille but it looks like I'd have to take off the whole front bumper, so I just masked it off. I also taped and boxed off the back of the grille, I think in one pic you can see a blue box behind it. I used 1 and a half cans for 8 coats, the more coats the stronger and thicker it becomes.

I was going to do this right now as I just finished my wife's first oil change here in the garage, but she went to work in my mustang and told me not to do this yet in case she didn't like the look. She has a baby shower to go to after work and said she doesn't want to drive around with it if she doesn't like it since I wouldn't have time to take it off before she left if she didn't.

But, I did want to see how to get behind the grill to mask it off. Only takes removing the top 9 plastic plug pins holding the radiator cover and taking it off. Plenty of open space to cover up the back of the grill so you don't over spray into the radiator area. Here's a pic of it with the radiator cover removed. No need to pull the bumper or grills off for this. I'll get it done tomorrow morning.

Finished up my wife's car just now. Did about 6 coats. She likes the look and helped a little bit with the masking and demasking process. If she doesn't like it after a few days, it'll be easy to peel it off. I'm probably going to dip her rims in the anthracite dip pretty soon also. I'll dip the rear trunk badges in black tomorrow.
