Anyone else experience a sunroof rattle(in up position) when going over moderate bumps? Definitely noticeable in my car.

Not me. I have not noticed a single rattle, except stuff in my glove-box.

Pano roofs are a pain in the butt to me. My previous car had the rattle which is why I chose to get the standard moonroof this time.

Yeah it just seems like it is due to the big heavy piece of glass, and most likely won't be able to be remedied. I do like the look and style of the pano roof, but could definitely do without the rattle. Probably go standard next time.

Might want to get it looked at. My pano doesn't make a sound.

If your luck is like that of most others, the day of your service appointment will be the only day when it doesn't rattle, but it will resume rattling as soon as you have left and are a few miles from the dealership.

I would suggest, before that appointment, driving in a quiet area and, when it is rattling, using your hand to apply gentle pressure to various locations on the sunroof to see if, at any of those locations, you can silence the rattle. One of the things that makes dealing with vehicle rattles difficult is that, in the relatively small space of a vehicle interior, sounds can echo and seem to be coming from locations other than from where they are actually coming, and the closer you can come to pointing the service department to the location of the rattle, the better the chances are that they will be able to find and deal with what is causing it.

I had a rattle in my moon roof in my 07 Avalon... The first winter I had the car it only rattled when it got cold, like in the mid 30's... but the rattle stopped after I turned the heater on and the cabin warmed up... and since I live in Louisiana where it normally doesn't get that cold, I let it go... unfortunately for me, the rattle started surfacing in warmer temps.. the last year I had it ( last winter ) it would rattle when temp fell below 50.. but by then it was out of warranty and I was thinking of trading it in anyway..... i have not heard the sunroof rattle in my ES but I do hear a squeak ( like leather rubbing leather ) coming from the dash...whenever i hear it I just put my hand on the dash and the noise stops... took it to the dealer last saturday and was told they didn't have a loaner and since the noice is intermittent ( it wasn't doing it that day ) they wouldnt be able to ascertain where it was coming from... whatever.... temp seems to have a lot to do with it.. last week it's been in the 60's and 70;s and not a peep.. tonight temp was a little cooler and the wife and I heard the noice driving home from dinner.... go figure!
