Lexus advised that all the slots for February for the District Inspector are full. They are going to call me around the 24th of February to schedule an inspection of my car for early to mid March. I will post the results of that inspection here.

Why can't the dealership just determine this is defective and replace it? Why do you need to wait for a special inspector, are they trying to tell you that's normal wear?

The dealership can't make the call in that situation where it's an unusual thing that may be attributed to wear.

I had to have the bottom part of my driver side replaced because sometime when I was getting out of the car it would make a clicking noise. I got lucky and it did it for the tech. He couldn't figure out why it was making the noise so they replaced the whole base.

I noticed the saggy leather early on. I rarely used the warmer or ventilation, and with 5200 miles my driver and passenger seats appear the same as the pictures shown here. The leather seems fine the the padding/support in the seats is breaking down. I have similar upholstery in a 2011 Jeep Grand Charokee w/ seat warmers and those seats are firm and in as new condition.
You are right….at this rate….these seats will look and feel terrible in no time. I do plan to take it up with Lexus. Lets see what their response will be.
….I've followed up on this issue. It seems my seats had a similar appearance after a trip to the car wash. I paid a visit to our local dealership today even thou when I left the house the seats looked pretty normal…&….all the cars at the dealership, new or used, were ok. I thought the drive to the dealer may cause the indentations and stretching to re-appear, cancelled the appointment, went played 9 holes of golf. After setting in the sun some dimpling was evident, but not bad. I'm going to keep a eye on it, but my feeling is the combination of wet towels from the car wash, and the heat may have been the cause. Lexus dealer reassured me if there is a defect in the leather upholstery they will be taken care of…..now granted….solid leather, & the seats in my Jeep are tighter, but moisture and heat will cause leather to stretch/relax…we'll see.
