Default Door Open Alarm

If I transport my bicycle in the trunk of my 2014 ES350 with the lid tied down but not closed the alarm sounds continuously. Can I defeat the door open alarm for the trunk lid?

There is probably not a fuse that controls the open trunk switch only. It may be difficult to fix this but your only hope will be your dealer.

Thanks for the tip, but I did first call Lexus service and they said the alarm is supposed to sound continuously. No way to defeat; and I was hoping someone out there might have a solution for me. I really don't want to be pulling fuses.

There is a previous thread regarding this issue. The fix suggested in this thread was to insert a bungee cord into the latch part of the trunk lock to "fool" the alarm into thinking it was closed. The cord would be used to fasten the trunk lid to the bottom, i.e. to keep the lid closed while your bike is in the trunk. I wouldn't pull any fuses either. Think outside the box; might not be pretty but a solution nonetheless. Other than this I found no setting to change or electronic fix.

Thanks for the tip, BC. Your fix worked. Actually, all one has to do is to trip the latch using anything - and then remember to un-trip (by unlocking the trunk) prior to closing the lid when done with transport.
