Default How to keep the radio running after turning the engine off.

Hi All,
I am enjoying my new ES350, however an issue I run into is do I keep the radio running when I turn off the engine?
The only way I have had luck continuing to listen to the radio is to turn the engine off and hit the start/stop button again. At that time the radio seems to reboot with the enform screen coming on. While workable there is some delay in the radio turning back on.

In the traditional key based On/Off there is a intermediate spot where I can turn the engine off but it still keeps the radio powered on. Anything similar in the ES350?

Your description of the method is accurate--common with all Toyota/Lexus pushbutton start.

Jim is correct, a PITA but how it's done nevertheless.

If you want to keep the radio running as you shut the engine off:

shift the car into NEUTRAL
push START/STOP
engine will stop
shift the car into PARK

obviously shifting into NEUTRAL, you may want to keep your foot on the brake until you shift into park. But this should keep your radio running after the engine is stopped without interruption.

Well this is a new one on me. I'll try it out next time. Thanks AMP.

While a minor PITA, the other benefits of the ES well outweigh this issue. Thanks for all the response.

This is what I do. I just wish the steering wheel would stay up in acc mode, instead of immediately going back down after turning the power on.
