Moldy smell coming from vents

I have been reading all of the posts in this thread and started paying attention to what mode my AC starts in. Today and yesterday, the temperature was/is under 50 degrees, and every time I have started the car, the AC begins in the fresh air mode. FWIW.

I sent all my information to be reviewed as to its applicability to the Lemon Law.
I was told by an attorney that the Lemon Law cannot be applied to this issue. Reference attorney McGhee at 858-485-9332. That office suggested a Class Action Law Suit but would not provide names of attorneys who could take this on.

All my family members are Lexus fans and together, we have so far purchased 12 of them.
My recent lease is ES 350 from Concord Lexus. Every time after the car is parked for even 1/2 hour, restarting the car gives really putrid smell from A/C. I have talked to several people, tried many suggestions including keeping windows slightly open, spray deoderant spray in the intake, using outside air vent etc. Nothing works. never happened before. I feel there is some manufacturing problem and feel that the Lemon Law should apply. Two dealership told me there is not much they can do except changing filter. Any one else thinks Lemon Law can apply?

While it would be ideal if Lexus would do a software change that set the default in warmer temperatures to fresh air mode, the alternative "fix" is for the user just to get into the habit of switching to fresh air mode whenever he/she starts the vehicle and the temperature is in the mid 70s or warmer. While it is a bit an imposition to have to do so, it quickly becomes a habit. Doing so isn't a big deal, and it is certainly a preferable alternative to living with stale air and complaining about it.
