I installed it myself with little difficulty, once I convinced myself that it was a good idea to drill four fairly goodsized holes in my new car's trunk lid. My car is the dark metallic gray - the new spoiler was and is a perfect color match. Let me emphasize one thing: BUY and USE the optional mylar installation template. It costs about $35, but makes the job ALMOST idiot-proof. Your dealer might loan you the template. The template precisely locates the four holes on the rear upper edge of the trunk. You have to remove the trunk lid inner liner in order to put the nuts on the bolts (studs) coming through the drilled holes. The four bolts hold the spoiler down to the trunk lid; the foam tape under the spoiler edges provides some water sealing and flexibility for the joint. Do NOT rely on any kind of adhesive or tape to attach the spoiler. As I remember, the threaded studs are already on the spoiler and can't be easily removed.
I figure my gas mileage has gone up about 2-4 mpg with the ES300h spoiler installed!
There's pics and details in a thread here in June I think - search for posts by "pintado". Be glad to field further questions, and as noted in the referenced thread, I can cut a deal for my template!!

I ordered the spoiler and template last week. We'll see how it goes! I'm pumped. Amazing on the gas mileage too. Here I was thinking it was just an aesthetic add-on. Good to hear that it really makes a difference!

In that thread, I surmised that the vastly better mileage of the 300h over the 350 was because of the 300h's standard spoiler. But good luck on installing your spoiler, even if it won't jack up the mpg's. Now I'm thinking about removing the ES350 badge on the trunk to add an air of mystery!

If anyone is interested I have spoiler templates with instructions for the latest and previous generation ES350. The part numbers are PT47A-33073 (last gen) and PT47A-33130 (new gen). They generally sell for about $40 bucks online. I will sell them for $20 plus shipping. Just PM me if you are interested. They are both in like new condition.

Today I received my factory Lexus pre-painted spoiler I purchased on Ebay. Looks to be a perfect color match but still need an install kit. I'll PM you about yours. Thanks!

Hey lamikela1, thanks for the template and the great install tips! Just finished the install today!! Also installed the factory color matched door edge guards. Was much easier than expected. Just took my time and followed the instructions. Very happy! Now, does anyone need a template?

@coop37, what tools did you use to install the spoiler? I've read that there are 3 holes to make for screws, correct? How long did it take you to finish the work?

Took me about and hour but I was working deliberately slow to prevent any mistakes.
I purchased my factory pre-painted spoiler from a Toyota dealer on ebay for $200. There are 4 holes to drill. lamikela1 had a great time saving tip for me to cut down a plastic cup and tape it to the underside of the deck lid where you are drilling your holes to catch all the metal shavings.
I wouldn't even attempt to install this without the installation template. An absolute must. Even though I spent just shy of $300 all-in to install my spoiler, my dealer quoted me over $800 to do the same job. I'd say is was time well spent.

When I purchased my ES one a month ago I ordered the spoiler as well.
Just to learn less than a week before delivery that it wasn't compatible with the panoramic roof...
Too bad was looking for one so bad...
Was anyone able to install one with the pano roof?
