Some minor 2014 info
Surprised this hasn't been picked up here. Looks like there is at least some minor changes coming to the car for 2014. Siri eyes free for iPhone 4s/5. Hopefully this ties in with what the dealer told me on the 2014 having updated nav/car voice commands, worst case at least this will work with apple maps which has been fairly decent for me thus far.

dang. as someone who uses siri and the iphone a lot, it gives me a bit of "buyers remorse"
i wonder if getting a software upgrade is possible or maybe swap out hardware........
when hackers tried to get Siri to work on the iphone 4 (it was officially supported on the iphone 4s), they discovered that while it was POSSIBLE, the improved microphone on the 4s made it much more accurate than on the iphone 4

Lexus, if they are smart and care about their customers, should do the right thing and upgrade 2013 vehicles to this new feature. Seriously, that's what upgrades are for. If it costs a little money, I can understand that, but the SHOULD give current owners that option.
Don't drop the ball Lexus.

Not everyone has an iPhone (I don't and my bluetooth phone works perfectly with my ES300h).
But I agree, if it is a simple update (software update only), it should be done for the 2013 models.
I guess if they don't and if it is important to you, you will need to trade up!

Assuming this info is accurate, doesn't look like the Nav get's the updates I was told to expect but it will include "LED foglamps are now standard, the hybrid model's bamboo wooden trim is now offered on the ES 350, and the faux-leather NuLuxe seats can be both heated and ventilated. Lexus has also partnered with Apple to offer "Siri Eyes Free Mode" on 2014 models."

Hum, looks like Lexus must be listening to this forum. Some here have already installed led or HIDs in the fogs. Wish they would upgrade existing s/w to update Siri use.

I just sent lexus a note asking them to consider a siri software update for us early es adopters. Figure it can't hurt and the more notes they get the more likely it will get heard, especially since many on this board have gone through many generations of Lexus cars.

I really wish they'd make the NAV brains modular. I upgrade my Phone (currently GS4) every couple of years. The NAV on the car becomes obsolete very quickly. I is a shame they don't let you use your phone for internet so you could have traffic conditions, you could use google navigation if you want, etc. It could just connect via usb to your phone and you'd have fast internet and the latest updates.

I looks like it works only with Android, and with select 2013 Enform with Apps suite. To bad it doesn't work with the iOS, but it does require a subscription of $265/year.

They have some limited use products for IOS. There is no fee, after the initial purchase. What you saw was for Enform.
