Default Clock

Hi The clock is the car seems really out of place. Has anyone installed a small digital clock and stuck to the right of the nav screen about 3 inch.es As the current clock is really hard to see.

How is the current clock hard to see? It's dead center of the dash and not small. I didn't care for it much at first, but now I actually prefer it over a digital clock.

I guess in the smart phone age, people have just forgotten how to read an analogue clock face. I for one would never stick a cheap digital clock on the dash of my car.

also, it is not backlit at night. the analog clock is an oldie but goodie

besides, we don't want our culture to lose the source of the words "clockwise and counterclockwise"

I hear ya! It takes two glances at the analog, where only one glance at a digital would be enough. I have thought the same thing - just find a fancy digital and stick it over the analog one. I haven't found one yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to take pics and post. I would definitely have my wife's approval, she hates the analog clock.

I am thrilled that Lexus, like some other manufacturers of higher end vehicle, did not put a digital clock in the ES300h.

That's his opinion. Based on that, we should also get rid of all paper media and go with tablets or on computer. I still enjoy the creature comforts of my newspaper and magazines. Call me old fashion.

It's not always about pure function. For many it is aesthetics as well and there is nothing aesthetic about a digital read out. Why have gauges and dials anywhere in the car. Let's just have a digital readout for speed and a digital readout for RPM.

And as Elliot said, most higher end cars still have them, which adds a touch of class.

It took a little while to get use to but now I like the analog clock. Just my two cents
