Default Looking at buying my first Lexus!

I have long admired the Lexus brand, and recently have been exploring the possibility of buying a used luxury car. I looked into the 6th generation ES, as well as several other similar vehicles, and now have narrowed down to one particular 2017 ES350 in red as my purchase. This weekend, I was at the dealership and have fixed a price with the salesperson after a test drive. The car is in good cosmetic condition considering it is 6 years old (a few scratches near the grille and under the bumper and one spot on the front passenger seat). It does have low miles, ~35000. The next step will be getting it inspected by a mechanic of my choice, and provided no major issues, I plan to go through with the purchase. I have browsed these forums recently as well, and hope to get some questions cleared if my purchase goes ahead. Greetings to fellow ES owners!

Welcome! I bought a 2014 ES and still enjoy it very much. The 2017 isn't too much different from the overall "car" perspective. Enjoy!

Default Good Choice

You are making a good choice with the 2017 ES. A few years ago I picked up my first Lexus. It was a 2018 ES Obsidian Black Metallic with the Executive Package that includes navigation, the Mark Levison stereo, the glass roof and the auto back shade screen. My car had just over 30000 km when I bought it. The car is beautiful to drive. You will love your Lexus!

No, this would be a Lux + Navigation package.

I completed the purchase yesterday. Looks great in my driveway. I am still learning many of the features and tweaking the individual settings.

Congarts. I bought a 2018 ES few weeks ago. Would you mind sharing how much you paid for yours?
I paid 33K OTD including CA tax and license. Mine's got 26K miles on it.

I paid ~28.5k for mine, ~30.5k out the door including tax and license in TX. Mine has just over 34500 miles on it.

Okay. Enjoy it! I sure hope to enjoy mine. Haven't driven it much yet, waiting to do maintenance first (coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, filters).

I bought my first Lexus, a 2014 Lexus ES 350 nine years ago. Still enjoying very much! No problems. Take it in tomorrow for a 140,000 scheduled maintenance.

Enjoy yours!
