Finished the wood overlay in the 350!
Well today being a beautiful day in Pennsylvania, and the temperature around 75, I decided to finally finish installing the wood trim kit for the dash and console. Went in easily and IMO turned out beautifully. I fully realize that this is not for everyone and some don't even like it. The important thing to me is that I like it. So here are the photos I took at 2:30PM EDT. There are no scratches on the wood only reflections...

I like it...good job. It breaks the parchment and plastic monotony. I will definitely do this mod if and when they release the 'Bamboo' trim.
I purchased a woodgrain kit for my '11 ES. It was a very close match. Although the templates were a little thick most people thought it was factory.
I thought I would never say this but I do miss my '11 ES. The ride is a little better than the '13. The '11 rode on Michelin Primacy...quite and super smooth. Of course I'm rolling 20" now

Looks great, thanks for posting the pics!! I too will consider this if/when bamboo is available.
Wondering how challenging is the installation? Just a matter of peeling off adhesive protectant and carefully placing each piece??

It's an interesting concept, but I agree it's too much with too many pieces. Flat pieces might look a little more OEM. Less is more.

The match looks really good. I could do without a few of the pieces, but better to have too many available, than too few. Nice job!

if you want a thinner material I would go with this 3M Di-noc stuff. Only downside is you have to cut it yourself. I have seen the carbon fiber version and it looks and feels very real. http://compare.ebay.com/like/380454115145?var=lv<yp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar

Yeah my issue with these kits is the rounded edge and the way they sit on top of cutouts for buttons, etc. I think some wood trim pieces would look great, like the window switch plates, the console top (just the black part, not the rest). I think when you go putting it on areas like button trim pieces around the wheel and the radio face where you just never see wood trim it starts to look really obviously aftermarket...

Wood Dash trim enhancements
Hi All, I realize this is an older post but the pictures of the wood enhancements look great. I just bought my 2013 ES with Parchment interior and would like very much to go the same route with the wood. Can you please indicate what brand you used, ex: Sherwood, BMI, etc.? and in the previous post, it indicated the web address of www.trimstop.com, but I did not seem to get to that link for some reason. Thanks for any advice or suggestions
