Help me to get to the wiring in the ceiling panel
I want to install a hard wired radar detector in my new ES350. I want to access the wiring in the roof panel and find a 12 volt hot when ignition on.
My first attempt was to get to the mirror wiring, as I have done this on my GM cars to power a detector. I took off the mirror but the 12 volts there is continuously hot, so I want to access the roof panel wiring.
How do I get the panel open? I tried prying on the front edge, but was afaraid of breaking something, so I am looking for help. Once I get it open, I can use a voltmeter to find a hot when ingnition on, unless someone here knows which wires would work.
I would appreciate any help I can get on panel removal instructions. Once I get it open I will report back on the proper wires to use for a direct wired connection.

I no longer need access to the ceiling console. After more careful checking, I found that the grey and white/black wires in the mirror connector are 12 volt switched . The grey is positive, and the black/white is the ground.
When I get my detector and make my wiring harness to plug into the mirror connector, I will post pictures of the install
