Default Electronics/Navigation/Media Gripes

The electronics are frustrating and not intuitive. Here is a partial list of annoyances I have observed. Some are poor design either of Lexus or XM, others are personal wishes:

1. Cannot use voice commands to tune radio station
2. Voice guidance does not allow you to spell out the city or street if it can't understand what you're saying (Mercedes does)
3. Point of interest list the icon Points in the wrong direction. Point up does not always mean it is ahead.
4. Map automatically goes to split screen for next maneuver on the right but does not let you zoom in and out of the map on the left side of the split.
5. Map won't zoom in and out with console up/down button when navigation screen controls are off.
6. Voice commands are canceled when proximity sensors are set off. (setting destination while stopped at a light and pedestrian walks in front of the car).
7. Navigation Voice command does not respond back with the whole street name that you said. Creates unnecessary steps if there a is north or south with same street name.
8. XM text information sometimes blank on the screen after you choose Text, even though the regular screen shows info but abbreviates the song name so I choose text hoping to get the full information (Mercedes didn't have this issue)
9. Fuel prices should offer fuel grade
10, XM Weather forecast should have options for current location and saved favorites
11. Display average speed in center display is not coordinated with the on average speed on the center display.
11. Fuel consumption average displayed when showing summary graph of trips. The average should be displayed on the current trip info since the average is already displayed as a bar chart in the summary screen.

I consider myself picky but with the exception of the voice command which I have never had success with in any car, none of these push my button as it were. That said, it is important for Lexus to see where they can improve.

Oh, XM sucks out loud. But that's more about XM than Lexus.
