As you can see by my sig. I drive a slightly modified ISF and my wife an ES350. She loves her car, doesn't even want to try to drive mine, but we use mine for date night and on trips (we used her's once for a trip to Las Vegas. Anyway, I absolutely hate to drive her car. It's quiet and smooth, but the handling, torque steer and lack of seat bolstering, not my cup of tea. That's why Lexus makes different vehicles aimed at different audiences. If you appreciate the handling and power of your IS350, the ES350 will wear on you over time. Just my humble opinion.

Expect better seats more aggressive front bumper and headlights than the GS.

How do you like the GS compared to the IS? Do you think the IS was a little more sporty?

You never know... The seats in the '13 LS are not as 'good' as the '12, Several nice features have been eliminated from the '13 ES as compared to the last generation. There has been a bit of 'cost cutting' to keep the price down IMHO. Time will tell...

They did the same thing with the ES. I guess if you want true luxury you have to step up to at least the GS.

I seriously doubt that your current is350 will really take that much of a hit (trade-in wise) when the new car comes out. The ONLY thing I see as a benefit of the new model is the transmission, and possible awd for the 350 if you really want it. The ES is comfortable, it reminded me of a driving couch, but it was so blasted boring. It's very clear that the car is NOT targeted at enthusiasts.

I just realized that I never updated this thread but I cancelled the order and kept my IS. And by god I am so glad that I did that because I love driving my car aggressively and the ES just wasn't my cup of tea. I am looking at the GS though right now but most likely I might upgrade to the new IS next year.

As more news comes out about the new Lexus NX model to go on sale this fall, it has been suggested that the next model besides the NX to get a turbo will be the IS. I'd at least hold out until the IS gets a turbo. This article says that the IS 250 could go from 204 horsepower to 250. If the 350 also gets a turbo, it could see nearly a 50 horse increase as well. Something to think about.
