It has been noted in this form that the new models have some small compromises that were probably done to keep the vehicles at a specific price point. They also seem to have numerous really nice enhancements. Fuel economy aside (especially for 300h owners). If you owned a previous Lexus vehicle, how do you rate the 2013 ES 350/ES 300h to your previous Lexus experience?

Traded in a 05 ES 330 for my ES 300H. No comparison to fit and finish, ride, seat comfort and support and great to be off of premium fuel. Loved the 05 but this is in a different league.
IMHO

I have been a Toyota customer since 2003, starting with the '04 Avalon XLS - a very good riding car; also had an Acura '04 MDX, which was traded for the 1st generation Lexus RX400h - the MDX was much more quiet, but hard on fuel. Every two years or so, the Lexus RX was traded for the next generation, and currently we have the 3rd generation 2010 RX450h, which has excellent fuel economy at about 29mpg average (which also finally reached the quietness / fit and finish of the MDX). The RX450h is very nice AWD crossover with many bells and whistles.

The '04 Avalon was traded for a 2008 Avalon Limited (great ride, but I never got used to the funky controls for the GPS and A/C on that model - it was a goofy layout). Finally traded it in for the Lexus ES300h, which is less than three weeks new - and alas, has been with Lexus for over a week, while they try to find an errant ghost of a rattle, which comes and goes like in the movies.

I'm sure that the ES300h will be a great car for us, but have not driven it long enough for further comment. (Smile).

Comparing the ES300h vs HS250h: Larger, better mileage, MUCH quieter, smoother, much better looking.

Comparing the ES300h to other 6 Lexi I have owned: Beats them all except for the 1992 SC300 coupe. That was still the best-made and most beautiful car I've ever owned (including Mercs, BMWs, Hondas, Toyotas, Cadillacs). Still kicking myself for selling that beauty; all I have left are these 2 faded Polaroids.
