Would be nice to have this feature to work.

On the newer iPhones, have you tried to use Siri? I don't know how things would behave in the Lexus as I'm still waiting for mine to arrive , but on my wife's ride - which isn't a Lexus nor supports reading texts let alone replying to them - I can use Siri to both read and reply to messages. It treats the activation of Siri as a phone call so the only down side is that you need to press the home button to end the "call" once you are done.

I have a 2013 GS350 and a Blackberry 9900. I have no problems having the car read me my emails but the reply always fails. The system also always updates messages as read, even though I have told the car not to do this in the Settings screen.

I have an iPhone 4S and the reply feature always fails for me as well. As for the notification still coming through, have you disconnected and reconnected the Bluetooth connection on from the car?

I actually do want the notifications to come through I just don't want it to mark my emails as "Read" when I click Ignore, which I do about 99% of the time. On a Blackberry it means that the emails no longer show up in Bold text, I think an iPhone has a similar method for denoting Read vs Unread email.

Should I be able to get notifications for emails as well as text messages with an iPhone?

I would think so - I do on my Blackberry. Go into the Messages settings on the Car and see if you can turn it on.

Soonerhart, maybe you can talk to your contact at Seawell to see what their findings have been with the iOS version?

For the others that did the iOS upgrade, did you delete the phone pairing and pair the phone to the car again? Just curious to see if there was maybe something different that happened at time of pairing.

Just curious as I don't have my ES to try it in yet.
