I have to laugh because I misread the title as how to break INTO an es300h

That said, my sales guy told me that there is no longer a breakin period. Anyone else confirm or deny?

I was raised up believing that a breakin period is 1000 miles and u don't use cruise control and u vary the speeds. But then again, I also changed my oil in the car every 5000 miles.....

Andrew - you are much younger than me obviously. I used to change my oil every 1,000 miles which may be why we are now short of oil.

oh, i meant that my last car was changed every 5000miles. i didn't drive much when i was younger, so it would be changed every 6 months (the car was driven about 3000 miles during that time)

It seems to have been overlooked, but the Operator's Manual specifies two mileage points for break-in procedures. A good and logical reference, by the way.
