Your 2011 ES 350 is a beauty. Chromes on Black that says class.

I'm on the fence with the Clear Bra. My ES350 is my third Lexus, and each has had the Clear Bra installed (my dealer installs them on all their cars). But my most recent trade-in was a 2 1/2 year old Buick LaCrosse with nearly 30000 miles on it. It did not have the Clear Bra installed, yet when I traded it in I did not notice a single chip mark on the front end where the bra would've been covering. Maybe I was just lucky, but it makes me wonder about the value of the Clear Bra, except as an additional profit-maker for the dealer.

The one thing I never liked about the Clear Bra is that residue tends to accumulate at the edge of the bra, especially on a newly-waxed car. Sometimes that Clear Bra line is really easy to spot and it just looks odd. I'm sure the Clear Bra does provide an additional amount of protection (some folks swear by it) but, given a choice, I don't know if I'd bother with it.

Angry Hybrid ES 300 H

Anyone has ES 300 H run 40 miles per gallon? My new ES 300 H run 37 MPG. But the engine is very quiet and comfortable ride.

Yes, you can track my ES300h at http://www.fuelly.com/driver/currypotter/es300h

You are only 2 MPG off the official combined. For normal driving that's pretty darn good. Ask the ES350 owners

Thanks. I figure Lexus will slowly add the chrome pieces on future models. I almost didn't get the 2013 because of the lack of chrome but I've got some ideas on how to spice up the Starfire Pearl.

Try Turtle Wax Ice, it's clear and doesn't leave residue on the Clear Bra edges. I've been using it for three years now on our 2009 Nissan 350Z and nothing is showing. Ice shines up just good as Zaino and Meguiar's wax for me. The installation shop highly recommended it over Zaino and Meguiar's waxes because of the lack of residue. Try it, you won't be disappointed. Are you a flyer?
