Mmmm. I'm serously looking now, and I'm within range of cerritos. I've interacted with them in the past, and it wasn't pretty. My experience with them was such, that I ended up purchasing an Infiniti right down the block at teh corner! Was that deal difficult to come by? I think I would buy from them if they could work that deal for me! Good experience overall?

We got our 2014 ES 300h last Saturday. It seemed that they were flying of the dealer lots. We got the luxury package and other options for a little less than 40000 + Tax&License. I am located in CA. We also got 0.9% APR financing as there was no corresponding cashback incentive.
One dealer provided a quote for a 2015 model. It was 42600 + Tax&License for a similar equipments.

I will never understand the obsession with OTD pricing. As has been stated several times over, it's meaningless. Just about as meaningless as factoring in dealer installed options, such as film, wheel locks, etc, as well as trade-ins.
MSRP (sticker price from Mfg) = X
Negotiated price (being upfront with all incentives offered at the time) = Y
X-Y=total savings
Things outside that equation: Trade-in, window tinting, warranty, etc... These are a separate negotiation and should be considered as such. It is usually extremely difficult to separate the two, unless you have no trade-in and are paying cash.
That said, it makes for some interesting reading and gives others a glimpse into other's buying experiences. I know I didn't get the best deal back in March of '13 (~7% off MSPP), but I was pleased with the deal. That should be the bottom line for anyone looking to purchase.

As for myself. If I didn't get the best deal, I am not pleased. Depending on how far off I am, I will be tolerant and accepting, but not pleased. There's a winner and a loser. If your not the winner...

You have no control over government mandated fees (TTL), so no sense in dealing with those from other locations as they vary quite a bit. All you need to focus on is msrp, selling price, % off msrp, dealer doc fee ($80 in CA - so minimal factor), etc.

It's more of a game to me. I get a stomach ache if I find I did'n't get the best, or real close to the best. I'll still eat, but it's just a game I think. I'm looking into dealing with a broker now. What I'm experiencing right now, is around $1700 off list for an ES 350. I'm hearing a lot of better deals than that. We'll see

This is what i got 2015 Lexus ES350 Ultra Luxury $48.085 , leased based on $42,732 , 27 months 15K $499.00 month, $700 bank fee and $200 reg/doc fee so total of $900 due at signing. Tax is in monthly payment. . I would have liked that $900 to been absorbed to have a sign and drive but I feel its a good and fair price. My advise is shoot for the Ultra Luxury because you can really get more for the money.

Thanks lomein123! I used your deal to get mine today. Got a 2014 ES300h with luxury and navi for 40030 (MSRP: $46,928) so 42900 DO with tint and car clear bra at Sterling McCall Lexus in Houston. Everything was great until I got into financing where the finance guy was just being rude and super unprofessional. I had dinner plans after so I decided not to make a fuss over it and ruin my night and my new car purchase. However, I will be taking this unacceptable treatment on Monday when I get some last minute stuff done to the car. Other than that great experience there, just one bad apple. This is my fourth Lexus from Sterling McCall in less than a year- sales staff are great!

Congrats on getting nearly 15% off that vehicle. That is about the most i have seen ANYONE getting off an ES300h so you did well. Hopefully we can find a dealer around here with a similar higher-end biuld willing to match that discount should we end up going with the ES300h instead of the NX300h. We are still (impatiently) waiting on actually driving a NX before we make our decision on which vehicle to go with
