Earlier in the model year, the difference between MSRP and invoice for the ES was about 11 or 12%. A few months ago, Lexus raised its invoice prices on the the ES and, at the same time, kept the MSRP the same. The result is that, now, the difference between MSRP and invoice for the ES is, in fact, only about 6%. By raising the invoice prices and keeping MSRP the same, Lexus was able to, in effect, have a mid-year price increase while keeping the appearance, with the same MSRP, that prices had not changed. Doing so also allows Lexus to accomplish something else. Manufacturers are not happy to see dealers giving huge discounts from MSRP. Thus, by narrowing the gap between MSRP and invoice and absent of other sales incentives to the dealers or to the customers, dealers are forced to sell the vehicles for prices closer to MSRP than they would be if there was a bigger difference between MSRP and invoice.

Stephen,

Im assuming it to be a 2014 and I'm no expert but my research tells me definitely 11% of MSRP on any day and 13% off MSRP on a good day unless someone can confirm higher percentiles. Good luck

thanks.

My 2014 ES350 MSRP was $41,500. I got around $6k off in Austin. You should get that same kind of deal in Houston. Go to Edmunds and look up manufactures rebates under Lexus ES350. They change monthly.

I paid $41700 for my 2014 ES 300H, MSRP was at $47188. I find that you mail the internet manager for better pricing then talking to the salesman. I got no where with them. They only went down to $43500 as I mention on this site that people were getting 10% off. That was at the first dealer, the second dealer wanted $43800 and I laughed at him while telling him I got a better offer elsewhere. They would not beat it but only match it. They both didn't have the car in stock either, I did a inventory research for dealers that was up to 100 miles near me and found 3 dealers with the colors we wanted and emailed them. I was given a quote by 2 dealers and we picked the best quote.

We drove 2 hours away to get the car but saved alot of money while both dealers by us (about 20 mins away each) wouldn't even call me to follow up the next few days. The first one did call me the day we were going to get our car, he tells me he can get the manager to beat the price by $1k, I told him you guys told me you couldn't go lower and I already have my deposit in place. He tells me people cancel all the time and I told him I'm not those people and you wouldn't want me to do that to you would you. He was speechless lol.

can you let us know how much you pay OTD.

Which state are you in?

What options have you added on your es300h. I am in the market for it as well. Your information will be of great help.

Could you please confirm that this was on an Hybrid model? Most discounts at the levels you stated have been for non-Hybrid versions. In addition to the location (State) you bought it in, can you share the timeframe you bought it in? It looks like there was a strong PUSH to sell these back in the April-May-June timeframe and such discounts no longer appear to be available (at least on the Hybrids). Not that I doubt your intentions but as you can see from this truecar link, NOBODY (according to them) has gotten a discout like you are professing.

I always wondered how accurate Truecar's prices are, considering what people are getting on this forum. Yes, I realize the prices are model, area and time specific.

Here is a copy of what the internet manager sent me. The dealer was a little over 2 hours drive but was worth it to me because I had a better deal and I would get it myself instead of waiting for the area dealer to trade for it.

If you go to the Lexus of Westport and look up the 300h model and MSRP of the car for 47,188. It is exactly what I got with the options.
