I bought (not lease) mine for $600 over invoice in NYC area. It was a super easy negotiation too! Did it all online and the super nice and courteous salesman held up their part of the deal. PM me if you'd like more info! I'd be happy to help

abosulely agree, best is to sell vehicle separately. MSRP for my vehicle was 46312, i paid 42997 + 200 doc fee.
Whenever I hear someone say they paid xxx under invoice price, just makes me wonder. Is the invoice price what the dealer showed them, is it from edmunds.com, or consumer reports? I never believe an invoice that a dealer shows me. Also, did they have a trade in?
I got a killer deal on my Lexus 350, but I took it in the shorts on my trade in because there are tons of them on the market and the turnaround time to sell my used care is really long.
The best way to know a good deal is when someone bought a new car and had no trade in.
Just my 2 cents.
Edit: apparently I didn't take it in the shorts on my trade-in, I just saw my car for sale and they weren't asking much more than they paid for it.

Just ordered the car. ES300h (nebula grey w/black) with lux and nav, MSRP $46,312. Lease deal with sell price of $42,997, 27 month, 10k miles, 71% residual, .0017 money factor, $700 bank fee plus tax, all rolled into payment. Total $575 per month. $420 additional at inception for DMV and doc fees, higher than normal because I am out of state (NY, dealer is in NJ). Still blows away any local deal.
Did the whole deal by email and phone with no haggling, delivery next week. They are even meeting me halfway to deliver (saving me an hour each way plus tolls), and taking my lease-end Cadillac back to their dealer to hold for bank pickup.
Special thanks to ES300h (the poster, not the car) for telling me about this dealer.

I never did understand leases (and never took the time to learn because I have never been interested; however, if I understand your deal at the end of a little over two years it's going to cost you $16,000 +-. Where as like me who paid cash for the car it will have depreciated around $10,000 during that period. So isn't this costing you $6,000 more?

Except I have no cash out of my pocket, I only pay sales tax on the payments instead of the entire price, and the lease payments are made through my business, largely tax deductible. So, from a tax and cash flow standpoint, leasing works better for me. For most people, purchase is usually better.
