Having never owned a Lexus before, my wife is quite impressed with her 2013 ES350, (it's pretty well loaded) that's what she wanted so that's what I bought for her birthday last year. We've been around different models of BMW's, Benz's, Acura’s and Infinity's, but she settled on the ES after I tried to persuade her into a BMW 5 Series. All in all, a great vehicle and she's satisfied.

Basic review:
Went from 2011 ES350 to the 2013 ES350.
Positives: Larger Int. space, navigation/radio w/ mouse controls,
Negatives: Ride slightly rougher
For the most part the same car I have had since 2011

Not happy with ES300h
I have ~7000 miles on my ES300h and I'm not happy with it. It's developed numerous rattles, the seats are already looking worn, and the ride has never been very good. Also, the body does not seem very stiff and flexes way too much. It is not as quiet as the Toyota Avalon which I almost bought. However, it is a beautiful car inside and out which is why I bought it over the Avalon. However, it does not have heated rear seats nor could I get radar cruise or heated steering wheel which I wanted. Also, the buying experience at my local dealer (Lexus Cool Springs) was not at all special. They also wouldn't look into the rattles. Planning to trade it in soon, probably for a different make.

Lexus Champion
My last 4 vehicles - Mercedes CL550, Aston Martin Vantage, Mercedes CLS63 AMG and the beast my modded LX470. I have owned every model Lexus from 1992 through 2005. The only vehicle I would own without a warranty is a Lexus. I'm very impressed with the new ES and GS, inside and out.

I had a 2009 Lexus ES350 w/Luxury package and now a 2014 Lexus ES350 w/Luxury package and it seems they skimpped out on a lot of things and yet the base price of the car is higher than before.
2009 vs. 2014
1) Removed the engine bay plastic shrouds to reduce engine noise.
2) Removed the front sway bar
3) Removed the tape cassette (not like we use this anymore)
4) Reduced the CD from 6 disc to 1 disc player
5) Removed ash tray/cigarette lighter
6) Reduced the wood trim surrounding center console and door area.
7) Removed passenger seat memory but added 1 more button for passenger seat memory.
8) Removed individual rear courtesy lights and put into one larger courtesy assembly.
9) Removed sunglasses holder
10) Changed the rear view mirror to include Homelink buttons but removed the compass.
11) Removed the "Lexus" logo on trunk.

It sounds like yours came de-badged, to 11.
