Lexus did a number of things to keep the MSRP down. No more 4.6, no 8 speed, same chassis bit reworked a bit, no real new tech that has not been debuted on other Lexus models. The 2013 is essentially the same model only updated.
Are you AutoUnion? Or another troll? You really need to try harder to hide your trolling because I've suspected you ever since you've started posting here.
One thing, having no 4.6 V8 model does nothing to lower the base price of the GS (which is what you were replying to). And it was noted that a loaded GS350 actually has a higher MSRP than a similar 3GS, likely due to the new tech and R&D that went into the development of the new model. You may not be a fan of the 4GS, but don't make baseless claims like you just did without backing it up.
The V8 model will come anyway in the form of the GS-F
actually that's even more scary because if they make a gsf that really compete with m5 and e63, it will be a HUGE gap away from the gs350
^^^ I agree, but I perhaps Lexus is just being extra cautious here. They don't want to have 2 V8s, GSF and GS F-Sport under same roof, since one or even both may suffer.
There will be a gap I agree, but personally I'd rather have the GS-F + the gap lol than nothing at all
i didn't read that gs450h is huge performance leap from the gs350 fsport. did you even drive the cars yet? last i checked the gs450h isn't even going to perform like a v8 e or 5, let alone the amg and m

it could be and i surely hope so
what i am trying to say is that with the big gap, we don't know where lexus would land the gsf, if they actually make one. look at e550 and 550i, both of them are incredible and that pushes the e63 and m5 to be even further out. with lexus not having a real v8 that's head to head with e550 and 550i, what will gsf be?
Its funny (and kinda says a lot) at how much more I see dealers happy about the upcoming ES than the GS/IS that is coming. We all know the ES is going to sell like hotcakes. I wish more focus and effort was made by salespeople/dealerships to sell the IS/GS.

I feel the IS will sell well but after a decent start, sales of the GS will go back to being low.

reason why i don't understand lexus cramping all these releases so close to each other
