Default Driver seat leather repair

Hello everyone,

I am in the process of searching for a 2007 ES350. Currently have a 1998 ES300 with 128k and love it, and have owned a 2009 GX470 in the past. I found one that is not too far from me in Pittsburgh with only 67k and the Premium Plus package. ALL service records at Toyota and Lexus dealerships as well. Also has an extended Lexus warranty that is up in August that will be transferred. I had the private seller send me some interior pictures and the only thing that concerns me is the excessive wear on the driver seat. I know the picture attached is not the greatest angle, but I think you can see the stretching, creasing, and discoloration. Would this be an easy repair with a simple leather cleaner or could this lead to a costlier replacement of the leather? I apologize in advance if this has been posted before, but I could not find anything similar regarding an '07-'12 ES. Happy to be here and looking forward to adding another Lexus to the family

Thanks in advance guys!

p.s. I know the shift **** is not the stock one, the original owner had it replaced with the all leather one, and the original is still in the glove box

You can clean that up with Leatherique, and it will look much better but I think the best solution is to replace both lower and back leather upholstery. The lower one is around $150.

A few years ago Lexus replaced the lower leather seat cover on my 2007 for just the labor charge. The invoice showed that the lower leather seat cover cost $1,500.00. I don't know where you got the $150 amount. That is way off the mark unless you get some aftermarket or used pieces.

Since I still have the factory warranty until August do you think I could try to convince my dealership to replace the seat cover at little to no cost to me? Could this possibly be covered under the warranty?

They probably replaced the whole lower part (leather, foam, heater, wiring, ventilator...). I'm talking about the leather piece only, that is the quote I got from my local Lexus dealer.

Nope. They just replaced the lower leather seat cover. Nothing else. When you buy this from Lexus it is very pricey.

I'm sorry. I double checked with the guy at local Lexus dealer. He gave me the wrong price. The foam itself is 150, the leather which goes with the heater is 1350.

I cannot believe how expensive those parts are. The center armrest, only the cover without the mechanism - 560. Headliner - 1200.
