Transmission pump
I have 2008 es350 I had to replace the engine in the car it only had 56000 miles on it but after that was done the transmission front pump went out doing the mechanics test drive, have anybody else experience this with there vehicle

Probably he drove without oil (VVTi hose, you know...).

TO much of a coincidence to me. Smells like the the reinstall of the engine created this problem. If the transmission was running well prior to the engine out replacement my bet is they either didn't get the torque converter inserted correctly or they screwed something else up. Once again why was the engine replaced.

Es 350
The vehicle ran hot on my wife, that why the engine had to be replaced, we found out the antifreeze leak out from behind the water pump gasket

An engine that has badly overheated due to a loss of most of the coolant can also cause the transmission fluid temperature to go sky high and as a result can cause transmission failure.

The mechanic is saying the front pump in my transmission is bad, the reason I ask because I bought a torque converter and seal so far, and he's asking for a front pump too!! Is it worth fixing

Is this repair being done by a Lexus dealer or independent mechanic?
What are the costs for each option?
How long do you plan to keep the car?
You will have to rely on the expertise and reputation of the transmission mechanic. If his inspection of the transmission internals shows no other damage then you should be fine repairing it. If it shows signs of overheated clutches and other damaged parts then you may want to look at replacing the entire transmission. If he does repair your original transmission, what sort of warranty (if any) will he provide?
