Exclamation 2011 Lexus es350 transmission problem

I've got a 2011 lexus es350 with a bad transmission. I purchased the car 4 months ago with 50,000 miles on it. I noticed in the carfax that the transmission fluid was changed at 25,000 miles??? I knew that wasn't normal. After having the car for 4 months i noticed the transmission would shift rough in the mornings. I took it to lexus and they added more transmission fluid to the tranny. After I got the car back it had no getup and go. And the car would stutter when revving at high rpm. I took the car back two days ago and Lexus of mission viejo said they are going to replace the transmission under warranty . My question is, has anyone had this problem with their 2010 through 2011 Lexus es350? I thought they fixed the transmission problem these two years??

Maybe it was low on oil and that killed it. But as soon as you don't have to pay for the new one, just let them do their job.

Who knows, but lexus of mission Viejo is taking care of it and I didn't even need to argue. That's customer service!

If you register your car on lexus.com using the vin# you can see the car's service history. If the fluid change at 25,000 miles was done at a dealership you might be able to see if other transmission work was done at that time.

It's great that the dealership is taking care off it for you.

Just be glad you bought a car in warranty or your dealership is willing to rectify the problem.

There are shadier lexus dealerships here in SoCal which will sell you a clearly messed up car out of warranty and be unwilling to help.

For instance, my CPO IS was bought back after receiving shotty work at a dealerships off site contracted shop. Two oil changes full of metal shavings and a opportunity at a buy back for a loss had me jumping to get out of the car. Found out it had been previously crashed and the whole rear repaired and replaced. It passed the dealerships inspection with flying colors

The next guy that bought the car will have no warranty and that engine is going to go out any day.
Some lexus dealerships are very shady.

Lexi66, They told me that it will be Lexus parts Brand New parts, The only thing that will remain is the transmission case, unless its damaged. They ordered the parts and should be in Tuesday next week and I should have the car back Wednesday so I'll give you an update when its done. I'm going to take it to vegas next weekend so we will see how the new transmission holds up. Lexbob2 I registered on their site and it doesn't say anything about the transmission fluid being changed, I actually found that info off of the carfax on My car. So I'm assuming they didn't have Lexus do it. xanderES I'm happy trust me. I thought it was going to be a nightmare. Who knows it may be, I will just have to wait until I get it back and put some miles on the new transmission.... but I'm sorry to hear that about the car you had purchased....

Sometimes the case is the problem based on this writeup.

Default All Fixed

Alright everyone Good news! I got my car back from Lexus Mission Viejo and the car is shifting Perfect!! I took it on a long ride to Las Vegas Nevada this last weekend and the transmission Shifted into the correct gears properly and held the gears. Lexus Said they found metal inside the transmission casing. They replaced all the components inside the transmission but not the casing. They said the transmission casing was fine

Glad to hear that. But they should change the case because of the main bearing which tend to spin inside housing and that can make that metal inside.
