Thinking about switching to ES350
Hi All,
Thinking about switching my 05 RX330 AWD to ES350 due to power steering rack problem ($1700 cost to replace) and steering wheel vibration at high speed (60+mpg) when applied brake and after researching could be warped rotors, also fuel mileage is another reason as well.
Do you guys have any problems with your ES and anything I should look out for.
Thank you in advance for your time.

Have a 2007 ES350 that I bought in 2010 with 35k miles . . .now 72k miles . . . absolutely the best car I've ever owned. still on second set of Michelins . . .put in a battery, oil changes and front brakes....29mpg on the highway.
It's all good.
It's all good.

Mine has about 30k miles. I don't remember how much I ended up financing. However, most 2011s (with nav, low miles, backup camera) that I've seen are about $28,000 (before taxes, prep fees etc).

I've got a 2007 with 48K miles on it that I picked up a week ago - maybe not long enough to have a fair viewpoint, but I love it and don't have a single regret about choosing it. It's an incredible car and you'll love it - I'm sure I'll still be driving it 125K miles from now.
I picked mine up private party - instead of tax and the dealer's doc fee, the extra money went towards a car with additional features and the ultra luxury package. If you can find one with low mileage and you have a local mechanic you can trust that will give it a thorough review before you buy it (a well-spent $100), you can buy with some confidence. I also picked up a used car warranty from AAA with a $0 deductible - the 5-year/60K-mile bumper-to-bumper (with only a handful of exclusions) was just over $2600. The price jumped up to about $3300 for the same warranty at 60K miles, but still may be a good deal for peace of mind.

FYI, my RX330 less than 47K miles and already required an expensive repair

I have an 07 with 98,000 miles on it and I am still getting the posted mileage of 21/30 with city averaging 20-22 and highway of 29-34. When I was purchasing it I used and inspection company for a 400 point mechanical/structural/etc at purchase and then took to valued mechanic to completely go over vehicle vehicle while in for brake work that I was already aware of. These ES's are starting to have owner reports in the 300,000 to 400,000 mile range and they are not looking to sell. There are issues from time to time with any vehicle; however, the latest poll on Club Lexus for longevity is:
Over 200,000mi/320,000km 92 12.15%
Over 175,000mi/280,000km 71 9.38%
Over 150,000mi/240,000km 74 9.78%
Over 125,000mi/200,000km 94 12.42%
Over 100,000mi/160,000km 107 14.13%
Over 75,000mi/120,000km 121 15.98%
Over 50,000mi/80,000km 81 10.70%
Over 25,000mi/40,000km 48 6.34%
Over 10,000mi/16,000km 27 3.57%
Less than 10,000mi/16,000km 42 5.55%

Unlike many I've had quite a bit of use out of my extended warranty. Since I keep my cars a long time I figure every time I've had to use the warranty its one less thing to go wrong in the long term. My motto is "break now baby" ! I only have 120k km on my 07.
My extended warranty runs out in dec of this year and I'll have my dealer go through it with a fine tooth comb later in the fall . They have been great and spotted many things well before I noticed them, during routine servicing. Kudos to Tony Graham Lexus in Ottawa .

2013 es350
I bought a new ES350 in 2013 and while my heart was set on a late model LS460 I caved in and bought the ES. It "grew on me". My friends were like the little devil on my shoulder whispering get the 460....but I didn't only because I couldn't find exactly what I wanted. Soon after these same friends were driven around town in my ES 350.....and the WOWS and ahhhh's were a surprise to my ears. The leg room in th back surprised them mostly. The smooth drive and quiet interior got their attention too. So, yes the car scored BIG.I actually am looking for a 2015 now, different color...all the bells and whistles.I'm sold !!

I bought a new 2010 to replace my 1995 ES. Obviously, I am very pleased with the Lexus product and even though I shopped around (BMW, Mercedes, Infiniti) I came back to the Lexus for the combination of quality, value, service and reliability. I just have no problems with it and it rides smoothly, handles great for a fairly large sedan and looks great. I got the ultra luxury package with a pearl white car and the sleek full panoramic black roof.
