Default Frozen Nav screen on '11 ES350...

Have less than 3,000 miles on car. Still under warranty... Frankly, I'm afraid to take it to stealership
because I'm afraid they will tell me it's not covered, yada yada yada and cost a fortune to
repair... Feedback please
Thanks!
P.S. That's not 30,000 miles. IT is three thousand miles

Has anyone ever had the dealership screw up the repair on this? If it sounds like
I'm paranoid ....

Just take it to the dealer and they'll fix it for free. As long as it's under warranty it's covered.

I agree. Their job is to fix things. Check with them to make sure it's covered by warranty.

I'm thinking the screen is frozen because it's so difficult to input addresses on my
Nav destination function. Is there another test to verify it's frozen?

All it may need is a review by your salesman or technician to undue something that was mistakenly touched. Could be a simple 10 minute repair or they may reset it to a previous point (like a computer). Under warranty. make the appointment.

Same thing happened to my wife's VW's Nav. There were two buttons that hard reset the system when pressed together for a few seconds. While this was on a different car, in my uneducated attempt to fix this I would start from searching on internet how to reset the Nav. Because this is the first thing that dealer would do when you bring the car anyway.

Another attempt to solve this would be disconnecting your battery terminal for a few minutes.

EAS - was your wife having difficulty with the nav touch screen when inputting a destination
address on her GPS?

The screen was completly frozen and unresponsive. Only physical buttons like audio on and off worked. Turning off the car didn't fix it either, hard reset did.

Did you ever get your nav working properly?
