Default Lexus Extended warranty coverage - in regards to shock absorbers

I have a 2008 ES350 and have the extended warranty for it. In the brochure it says that shock absorbers are covered... anyone know if it is completely covered or covered under certain circumstances like leaks etc?

I am asking because i notice that the suspension has been pretty bad in the last 6 months. Its not bottoming out but it does go down pretty hard on a bump. also on wavy roads the car does feel like its bouncing...

Will this be considered as wear and tear and not covered on the extended warranty? Also if worn shocks are covered than what is the threshold they use?

Thanks

It's an interesting point.

I would venture to guess that the coverage would only be in play if the shocks/struts were found to be "defective"
as in they were leaking oil, etc.

As far as them just getting softer over age/time/mileage, I would think that would simply be considered normal "wear and tear"....especially as when dealers have warranty claims, they have to show Lexus corporate the "defective" parts in most cases.
