power transmission fluid or power steering fluid
I have a question Folks.
i want to fill up power steering wheel fluid but the Lexus dealership (parts department) gave me an automatic transmission fluid. they said they use this for PSF, Is this correct or did I get the wrong part? my power steering wheel fluid is low. i just want to fill up.
thanks guys

The correct PS fluid is in fact Dexron ll or Dexron lll automatic transmission flluid. How low is the fluid? If it's gone much below the "COLD" mark then you more than likely have a leak and it should be located and repaired. Do you have the Owner's Manual?

lexus did not carry Dexron III but they said "toyota brand ATF T-IV" is what I use for my PSF.
please confirm if this is all right.
it was an inch below "max". so i wanted to fill it up to the max.
