Just got this car (5000 miles from my 90 yo father). Want to add XM. There is a button labelled "AM/Satt" but no XM tuner. I did find a used tuner with the connector cable but I do not have the full mounting kit. Any idea where to find it? Can I do the install without the OEM mounting kit?

Have you tried installing it without the mounting kit? It's pretty easy to take out a trunk panel.

When I replaced my factory radio with a Pioneer, I just stashed my XM tuner behind a trunk panel, duct taped to the passenger fender well. No mounting kit required.

A follow up: my car has GPS navigation but no roof fin. Does it need a separate antenna for the XM tuner?

Yes it does. You can put it in the same place as the 07 factory one - on the trunk lid.
