Center console arm rest tearing - Please help!
And in worse condition after having taken it in for routine maintenance. They also damaged the driver's side door, along the edge there are 8 little chips, one of them larger and very noticeable. They touched them up but the one is still visible. Very disappointing, this was my first tune-up.
Anyway I'm wondering if anyone knows of a product I can use to keep it from tearing more, or where I might look for a replacement. It's where the button is but the outer part is also tearing. I know a replacement won't be an exact match.. and I gave it a good look as I was getting out of the car today and noticed it seems to be yellowing.
This is why I never had a light interior. There are also stains - that of course weren't noticeable at first - on the drivers side seat, from the dye in blue jeans. I did manage to get most of it off w/mild soap and water.
I've Googled around, looked on ebay - can't find anything. It's a 2008 ES 350 UL. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

A good Leather Cleaner will take out the blue jean dye. I had some dye transfer when I initially bought the vehicle; given I did the whole paint protection/interior protection package, the shop cleaned it right up.
I know there are better products out there, but the Lexus Leather Cleaner (and the after-conditioner product) hasn't let me down.

Thanks for that. They gave me a kit and I knew there was leather cleaner in there but I didn't have it with me.
I'm really more concerned about the center arm console. It looks really bad after yesterday and the whole thing is going to peel eventually. I haven't had this car long so it upsets me that this is happening. I've also read about the dashboards melting and I'm worried about that now because the car sits in the sun sometimes for half a day and it's up in the 90's.
Anyway I hope someone will come along and tell me where I might find a used one in good condition. I've looked all over the net and no luck. I did call a dealer this morning but I didn't have my vin # but will get it when I get home and call them back. Looks like it's going to cost @ $800.

I've read about Sewell but it's been awhile since I've been on the forum. I posted back at the end of the year, after I'd just purchased the car.
Thank very much for the info.

nevernu -
I looked and looked for that part and no one had it. The guy from a local dealership contacted me today (I had inquired) and he said there was only one in the US, and it was at Sewell. So - thank you again for your help! I would have gone straight ahead and bought it but I wasn't sure if that was the route I wanted to take.. since the car is old and the part is new, but he said it won't make that much difference, plus I can return it if it doesn't look right. This made my day - so thank you again. I have no idea about this stuff, which is why I come to the forum.
I also want to change out my lights - will make another thread about that later. Just wanted to say thank you again for your help.

No problem, glad I could help. The beauty of the Sewell site is the exploded parts diagrams; I use it all the time to see how things are put together. Don't forget to register as a CL member and get the significant discounts.
