Depends on the type of City driving. 310/16.5 = 19 mpg (rounded up). I can get very close to 500 miles on a tank (30 mpg) full on highway @ 65mph. Back when I lived 7 miles from work, I'd get 18-19mpg regularly because the car didn't have a lot of time to fully heat up and go into closed loop mode. Now that I'm 25 miles away, my milage has improved to between 26 and 27 depending on how I drive.

In short, 310 isn't bad given 75% city.

my range readout never reads higher then 400
like i can drive 380 miles and when i fill up i might only fill up at 15.5 gallons when i do cross of city and hwy
if im on a road trip i can get about 400 miles before filling up and when i fill up ill pump about 14 gallons
id say all city im getting about 16.5
ciity highway mix when 50/50 about 23.5 all highway 29 mpg i think i could do even better than what i am doing because every once in a why'll ill get up on the gas and feel like blowing some jump out of the water and having a litle fun
if i set it on Cruice and constantly for an entire trip i better i could pull around 31-32 mpg

just a little bit curious but does it matter if we post out year and model i mean come on if your askign a question in this part of the forum wouldn't it be best to assume that its a 07-2012 ES350
is their any differnedce between years for drive train and power train ?
i might be wrong on this but i don't think so

07-10 - premium gas, 11 and 12 models take regular gas. Theoretically this can make a slight mpg difference.

ah ok in that gace my 07 and i run it on regular fuel and i get same states i posted above that are really good.

i don't understand from what i read they didn't change anything in the tuning or construction of the engine they just realized it would run fine on Regular in 2011 so changed it to regular then am i thinking wrong i though ti read and was told this once

i have no notice in different between grades of 87-93 and i have used both to test this therapy before

I think Lexus was working with smoke and mirrors on the gas issue. Toyota had about 6 models using the same engine with regular recommended. When the economy went south and competitors were launching models with regular recommended, Lexus changed to regular. I ran regular in both my 2007 and 2010. IMO you can't go wrong with either.

Why'll at the time i know you cant totally reliy on the Readouts to always be 100% accurate but just for the hell of it on my trip home tonight
when i first got on the highway i hit reset and this is what it read.the first picture
after the first 4 mils i was getting what redout was saying to be an avg of 38.1
the next 4 miles i had a little wind resistance add that to going uphill for a mile it dropped to
36.2 by the time i got off the highway
then for about another 4 miles of city driving stop and go when i pulled into my driveway it was reading 28.8 mpg all of this on regular

You can also think about it like this if you really want to get every mile and inch you can out of a gallon don't go on trips with a full tank of gas yeah you need to stop more to fill up but think about it like this last time i did this experiment on weights in high-school i came out with fuel being denser than water so gas is like 6.2 lbs per gallon so lets just round that down to 6 lbs per gallon a full tank of gas in our car is 111 pounds the heavier your load the worst your MPG might be. I decided i would do this project when two groups of people went on a trip we took a winter break down to Florida i was like 17 i think same model and year vans same specs only different about it was one van had a two tanks 1 had 1 tank
same cargo same passenger weights give or take a few pounds the van with two tanks got about 5 miles less to the gallon when we did the math. than the one that only had 1 tank

i was getting weird range readings and asked my service advisor and he suggested resetting the average fuel consumption gauge. never knew there was a reset but you hold the display switch down for more than 1 sec and it resets ..... readings have stabilized as the miles driven accumulate

The one i pay most of my attention to right before i stop to gas up i will look at the average tang MPG
only way to reset that one is to fill up

the average MPG one that is on the options just before the tan average is the one you can reset

I was getting pour MPG then about 24 to 26 at the highest about 10k ago i had the Fuel injection cleaning done at the lexus dealer had a new air filter put in oil change and then my mpg just started jumping high it like went up by like 30% so i find it well worth the money i spent to have the injection cleaning done

I feel like 310 is pretty low
I do stop a lot in city because of lights, but still sounds a bit weird
