Default small tear in driver seat?

Hey guy's, I got into my 2010 ES350 today and I noticed a small tear in the cover just to the right of my right leg I began to flip out because I never get in my car and have anything in my pockets at all!! I am so **** and careful about the inside of my Lexus and I can't even describe it. I know I didn't do it. So I call my Lexus dealer and tell them what happened so tomorrow I have to make a visit there and let the service man take a look at it and hoping my factory warranty which is still good until Sept. 20th covers it. Has anyone had this happen before? Will the warranty cover it? Thanks, Dave

The warranty does not cover such damage. The tear can usually be repaired. All Lexus dealers have leather repair guys that come to the dealership and take care of such things. It shouldn't cost too much to fix. If it's not torn too badly, you may not even notice it once it's repaired. I hope things go well for you.

In this case it might be best to go through the dealer vs. trying to find a shop that can do a good repair.

I took the car into my Lexus dealer this past week and they are going to recover the seat. Still under factory warranty with only 33,000 miles. They said it is covered under the warranty. Must have been a defect in the material or a stress in that area. Thanks, Dave
