Thumbs down Round 2 on powdercoating my wheels...

Yeppers...looks like I wasted $500 when I ended up with the wrong color.

To backtrack, my wife and I chose a color called titanium-nickel for the wheels and decided to do my grates in my driveway in the same shade...those turned out great (just what we were hoping for)...but the wheels have a golden-bronze hue to them that just fights the grey paint like cats and dogs and I HATE THEM so here I am, up in the air again awaiting the results...I sure hope they come out close to what we saw on the color sample.

Thumbs down I can't win for losing...

That was certainly my intention yesterday when I mounted them up, washed the car and dressed the tires...car looked stunning...then I drove over to get a 4-wheel alignment (which it needed after seeing how badly the wheels were curbed) and the shop ruined all 4 wheels with the alignment machine.

So now the car is back up in the air in my backyard and the wheels are out for powder coating Round 3!

First words out of his mouth was "I'll pay for the damage" but the time, effort and fuel spent on driving my F-250 back and forth several times now is adding up.

If it wasn't for bad luck you would have no luck at all. I can't wait until you get them back and can finally enjoy them, you deserve it after all you've been through.

Thumbs up OK...One More Time!!!

Picked them up from the powder coaters while they were still warm ...and they tuned out awesome again, now hopefully all goes well tomorrow...because I'm not quite sure what I'll do if it doesn't...

With the flash on they sorta look like a matte finish:

With the flash off however, you can really see the black chrome finish, especially the ones with the plastic wrap:

Wish me luck guys and keep good thoughts, LOL...

Thumbs up Wheels are back on...!

And they look damn impressive...looks like they came from the factory instead of that cheap looking bright silver...

SICK350,

I took the car to my buddies pre-owned car lot here in town to show it off and he has a IS250 on the lot and the caps on them is a charcoal grey and matched PERFECTLY with the wheels, better than the black would have so I pulled the trigger and bought these...$33.75/set of 4 shipped, I think they'll do the trick nicely and for being Lexus parts, they're dirt cheap!

Thanks, pictures don't do them justice because they don't seem to pick up the black chrome real well, especially in the bright sun...really pleased with how they turned out.

No curbing for this boy, I've got a fleet of other cars and have never touched a wheel to a curb in my life...although I guess there's a first for everything:

It is my wife's car though and I told her if she curbs a wheel, not to come home...and I'm pretty sure she knows I'm serious.
