Bad MPG
Have been averaging 17-18 miles per gallon is the city
Is that bad or good?
Its been below 50 degrees for the past 3 weeks and has even snowed couple of times
Would that affect the MPG that much?
Most roads i drive on are 40-45 mph
Rarely drive highways (weekends)

I have an '09 ES350 and I never really get less than 22-24mpg around town, stop and go mostly, but some stretches of 10 miles at highway speeds. I use regular gas, 87 octane usually. There are a lot of threads on here about gas mileage, do a search and you'll find a lot of data on that.
I hardly ever check my mpg manually, I just go by the trip computer, so it may be inaccurate. I also don't do a lot of jack rabbit starts or hard braking, I tend to coast a lot, lol. Winter fuel blends can decrease your mpg too.
I would say that if your driving habits are very different from mine, and if you check your mpg manually, I wouldn't see a 3-5 mpg difference as significant. If however this is a sudden decrease in mpg, and you were doing much better a few months ago, I would have it checked out by the dealer. If you are using regular gas try using premium and see if that increases your mpg.
But make sure to search for threads on this topic, there is a lot of good info on here already, you just need to find it.

Is this what the car shows or actual (calculated)? It also depends on the quality of gas you get in your area, type of daily drive (stop and go traffic) and your driving habits. Perhaps try a different gas station with different supply and less heavy foot from stop

same here... pretty bad MPG. I live in Canada so it's winter city(8 months of winter). i only do city driving so under 60km.
I only get 400km in 56litre of gas. I think that's around 19mpg or less.
I'm thinking of trading it with ct

My mileage in all my cars is worse in the winter than summer. I never could understand it as the A/C is not on. Always thought that is what pulled milage down the worst. It also depends what type of driver you are. I am becoming a "grandpa driver " that is on the way to the bank to check on my CDs. LOL

Gas formulated for winter will get less gas mileage. Other factors for me are using the remote start feature frequently and / or running the car in open loop mode at high speeds (car not fully warmed up, using default "cold" fuel mappings etc).

I am going through this right now in southern California. Was getting around 18 19 avg, now around 24 but still not happy as it used to get 28-32 mpg on cruise on flat desert highways. After replacing some of the following, it still gets 22-24 in town, and will not get better than 24mpg on hwy at long cruise (maybe 24.3max). Check//replace Fuel/air sensors, O2 sensors and oil control valve solenoids, as well as air filter. pvc . I suspect my prob might be transmission related, so will be having that checked soon before i hit 80k.
