Default Infinity

Have a 2011 Infinity G37x. Fun to drive and has been very reliable so far. Not one problem. They make a good product. Much stiffer ride than my 2010 ES350, but my wife loves it.

As long as you get a right infiniti, it should be drama-free.
I drive 06 g model as daily drive that has little over 160,000miles and I still don't have any problem.
Only thing is the resale value.
In my opinion, the both infiniti and lexus trouble-free compare to most of auto brands out there, so it will be all about your preference.

I actually just traded my 07 ES350 for a 2011 Avalon this past weekend. What a difference. I was mainly after more back seat room but didn't want to sacrifice the comfort and fuel mileage of the Lexus if I didn't have to, and it ended up that the Avalon had everything I was looking for.

Plus, it's the improved engine and trans as used in the ES, with more toys (backup camera, heated/cooled seats, JBL stereo) and more space.

My ES was beginning to show it's age and while at the dealership also discovered frame damage on the autocheck that had not been previously disclosed by carfax, but that's another story. I got beat up on the trade, but I figured I should bite the bullet and get out of the ES while I still could, before the value tanked further and further.

So I'm still in an ES, just not an ES and also not quite a GS. But I'm certainly happy.

I have a close friend who recently made the switch to Lexus after driving Infinity vehicles for years. Other close friend and I have driven LS400s/430s for years, and Friend One was more impressed with how the Lexus aged vs the Infinity and so made the switch. She traded in more often and is hoping to keep the next car for a longer period of time, so had made the leap. Personally love the LS, have driven one for 13 years and truly, nothing compares for fit, finish, and QUIET. My 15-year-old LS has virtually no rattles and is still quieter than any car I have ever driven/ridden in. You cannot go wrong with the LS if you are looking for quiet and comfort, but if you want a sporty car it's not going to be your thing. It's called a luxury sedan (and not a sport sedan) for a reason. Good luck with your decision!
