Default 2010 lexus es 350: Steering shaking at idle?

Hi there, i finally traded in my car and picked up a black 2010 ES 350, CPO, with 33k miles. However, i feel a vibration inside the vehicle while the car is idling (even when it is fully warmed up) and i was wondering if this is normal on these models? i have owned a is250, and ls460 and i didnt really notice anything like it. It almost feels like my ex's toyota camry when idling (not as loud of course).
Does anyone have the same issue? is there a recall that fixes it? or is this normal with FWD vehicles?

thanks in advance!

FYI, the dealer replaced all 4 tires to certify the vehicle. They put sumimoto tires on all 4 corners i believe. Are these the original tires on this mode/year? i am thinking if they are not, may be that's the problem?

The 2010's came with Bridgestone and Michelin tires. Maybe another brand or two, but not sure. The tires wouldn't have anything to do with a vibration when the car is sitting at idle.

It sounds like something the dealer will say is normal but wouldn't hurt to have them check it out.

It coud be one or more bad motor mounts. That will definitely cause a vibration at idle. If this is it, your CPO warranty will cover it.

Depends how bad the vibration is...is it enough to rattle coins in the cupholder, or is it just felt through the steering wheel and maybe you can see the side mirror oscillate a bit?

If it's the latter, my 07 does the same thing. Because the engine idles so low it lends itself to a slight vibration. If you touch the throttle a bit and bring up the revs to about 1k, it smooths right out.

If it's much more serious than that, it's gotta be a motor mount.

if i put it in neutral, it stops vibrating. If i bring it to around 1k rpm, it does smooth out.

Sounds normal to me. I see you're in FL, I assume you have the AC on. That places additional load on the engine at idle when the compressor is engaged and can also exaggerate the vibration.

My car does the same thing and it's perfectly fine, albeit mine is an 07 with 78k miles on it.

i noticed it idles around 700rpm with the ac on.. I will mention it to the dealer but i am ont sure if it will something they will justify as normal operation or maybe bad motor mounts?

Between 6-700rpm, which is normal. IIRC the idle target is 650 +/- 100rpm for accessories.

I had a 2007 ES350 for 6 years. I never felt any shaking at idle. This doesn't sound normal to me. I'd definitely have the dealer check it out. That's why you have a CPO warranty

Default Idle Vibration after 15,000 Service

My wife's 2013 ES350 now vibrates and has a noisy idle while in gear after the 15k service. The dealer said they can't find a problem even though the service writer acknowledged the hard idle.

I have an 05 ES with 116k and it idles great.

My daughter has an IS 250 that had idle problems and then died. It was repaired gratis because of the valve spring issue. Is this also a problem on the newer ES models?
