Default 07-12 es350 year to year differences?

i am currently in the market for a used ES350 and was wondering what the year to year differences are?
So far i have found the following:
2008- 28k miles, CPO, NAV, $20,900 (red exterior, beige interior)
2010- 31k miles, CPO, NO NAVIGATION, $23,900 (dark grey exterior, black interior)

i dont know what the difference is on the above vehicles from a mechanical stand point? i am almost inclined to pull the trigger on the 2008 (i dont really like the color) , but i want to make sure i am not making a stupid move and are overlooking something on the 2010 models that maybe early models lacked?

Mechanically the cars are the same. The biggest differences are interior and exterior trim updates beginning with the 2010 mid-cycle refresh (which I think was a BIG improvement). With the 2011's, I believe, they changed the recommended fuel from premium to regular.

If I remember correctly, the interior wood trim has a thin chrome accent which looks nicer.
Also the Nav is Hard Drive vs disc.
BT should be standard.

You are correct. For 2010 most of the interior trim pieces have chrome trim and if you compare the wood that's used, it's much more natural looking and more of it beginning with the 2010.

I also prefer the wheels that were added with the refresh.

would you give up the navigation for the exterior/interior refresh though? remember, the 2010 i am looking at has a litle more miles and no nav which the 08 has... plus it has less miles too.

That's a tough call to make. Probably more of a personal decision. Personally, I'd want both the 2010 refresh with the HD navigation..

2008 is the better deal, hands down.

i am trading in my 2009 ls460 on 22 cv3 vossens (without the wheels of course) and it is simply because i just hate the way it brakes and i have ran out of warranty. Also, the new gf lives about 35 miles away from me and this car is sitting at 70200 miles as we speak (bought it with 65000) so i am afraid to keep racking up miles within the next 12 months and then be super upside down on it.

these are the cars i am currently considering...
The red one 20008 has 28k miles, and is $20900
The black one 2010 has 31k mils, and it is $23900 (3 grand more with more miles and no navigation)

Which one do you prefer, and why? You're the guy spending the $$'s.

i am looking at it like this:
The black one seems classier, more polished, more elegant if you will. The front grill looks nicer, the color of the interior is certainly much nicer to me, BUT the red one has the navigation and it is 3 grand less... From a financial stand point, the red one is a better investment for sure...
