Sirius XM SAT text not changing
I've had my car for a year now, and just over the past week when I have the SAT radio on, the NAME & TITLE of song playing doesn't change. I have to switch channels then go back to get it to show current song playing.
First couple days I thought maybe was a problem with Sirius XM and not my car...but been a week and now thinking something with my system.
Anyone else experience this before?

Mine does that from time to time as well and I think my 2007 did the same thing. I always assumed it had something to do with the broadcasting station because it often only does it for one station. It might go for a couple of weeks without doing it and then do it again for a few days. It has done it ever since I got the car and I wouldn't want to have it repaired because the only repair would be to replace the whole unit nav and all - probably with a rebuilt or repaired unit.

My issue occurs with every station and it's been for 5 days now. I certainly wouldn't want the whole nav unit replaced for this...then again I expect it to work too, and while under warranty I might want to look into it more. Just hoping it's not the car and something on the broadcastings side.

I had the same thing happen to me a few days ago as well in my 2010 ES350 (with NAV)
Strangely, some channels were actually working fine (changing text normally) and others were not (text staying the same).
Have to believe it was a transmission problem as next day everything was fine and has continued to be.
I have to believe it was an XM problem. If it was a hardware problem, it would have been on ALL CHANNELS all the time for several days.

I've seen the same happen in both the Lexus and other manufactured vehicles I've had... I'd tend to agree it's something w/ SiriusXM...but if it continues to happen ALL the time, something to ask the dealer about maybe?

Well I haven't found a solution to this problem, however I have found a work-around. Anytime a song and artist information fail to update automatically (usually when I first turn on my radio) I just push the "AM/SAT" button 4 times to scroll through all the SAT and AM banks and back to where I started from and it is flawless from then on until I turn the car off. Not sure why it works, but it works, and then no more annoyance. Give it a try and let me know if it works for you guys/gals out there!
