i know there is a aftermarket intergration unit that will allow me to hook up my ipod or iphone for music
is there something that will allow me to add a SD card or USB port also ?

You can't add a USB port - to my knowledge - to play files off of the USB drive/sd card natively; the radio just doesn't have the programming to read it. You'd need to replace the head unit (assuming non-nav). The aux in works fine for me when I'm not listening to one of the six full mp3 cds in the dash; but I plan on replacing the head unit within a year or so.

I have the '09 ES350 and Bluetooth integration was easy using the Griffin BlueTrip Aux handsfree kit for Bluetooth capable mobile devices (<$60.00). It plugs into the 12v plug in your center console and runs a 3.5mm aux plug to the input in your console. It powers on when the car starts and automatically pairs with your Bluetooth device. I never have to open the center console and do anything to make it work or pair it. Since it can pair with your phone and/or A2DP audio out, you do need to go into your phone Bluetooth settings for the BlueTrip and turn off the phone connection, but leave on the A2DP connection. That way your phone pairs Bluetooth with the cars phone and pairs A2DP audio with your BlueTrip. It really is Plug N Play easy and works great.

Sorry I didn't notice your question before (and btw congrats on the new ES) there is a company called vaistech that actually is on this forum. They make products that integrate nicely with the stock head unit and can play off of different options. I've been waiting (close to a year since they said it was coming out) for one that integrates both iOS and android so I don't have any personal experience but they look really cool if pricey. BTW if they're reading this, maybe they could show some love and get this product out already

Not sure if you are still looking at this thread - I am probably too late. I have driven '05 330 and then bought a '12 350. The 330 was a nice car to ride, but the transmission hesitation issue was driving me mad, they never fixed it. '12 350 is the last year run of that model which started in '07. '07 had transmission issue and various issue often associated with a first year batch of any new design. '12 is perfect and I chose it over '13 new design just for reliability and I am very happy with it.
In summary, get at least a '08 350 or above if you are getting ES. Given your cadillac experience, you probably don't want to deal with 07 model issues.
