Default Rear Passenger Doors

Anyone else find it difficult to close the rear doors on the first go? I recently noticed that you would need to push the rear doors harder than you would for the front doors. I know the rear doors are longer than the front, but is this normal for everyone? It seems like it loses a lot of momentum as the door rotates, which could be the culprit. I bought the car in December and didn't really notice it until now...maybe I'm just bored and looking for things to fix?

Try opening the window/door on the other side and see if it closes properly.
If not you have a problem

If yes then it is normal. Closing the door when all other doors and all windows are close will need more "force" due to back (air) pressure

No, I haven't noticed that on mine.

it latches, it just takes an extra effort to close the rear doors for some reason. I tried the window trick to see if its the extra pressure, but that wasn't the reason. hmmm...

There might be some slight adjustment that the dealer can do to the latch.

your door is out of alignment. sometimes the latch moves a bit all it takes is a wrench to reset the latch on the body panel side back to the correct setting. what's happening is you are hitting metal now and then you kind of nudge it into place. It's as easy fix, don't stress it. good luck
