Default CPO questions

Are there any requirements under the Lexus CPO program that periodic routine maintenance has to be done by a Lexus dealership?
Thanks for your help

You can get the CPO car serviced at any qualified shop. Just hang on to your receipts.

Default CPO owner requirements

What about a person who loves to do the maintenance themselves?

Buy the oil and filter as needed and record the mileage / length of time between oil changes on the back of the receipt, in case you need to prove maintenance for a future warranty claim.

None what so ever. But, if you end up needing a repair just after your CPO warranty expires the service manager is going to hold that against you. Instead of "good willing" the repair he/she will simply say F 'em, they never came here until now. Sucks but I've seen it happen many times.

If you were a regular and you come in with a problem and the warranty ran out 500 miles ago, then you stand a much better chance of getting a 50/50 deal or even full coverage.

That goes on at all dealerships. And you can't blame them. Loyalty has its rewards.
