Cool Engine whistles when cold, why?

2007 ES350. Recently, I noticed when I turn on my engine in the mornings it makes a whistle/squeak-like noise. It the sound continues and eventually fades away as I drive after a mile or two.

Any thoughts on what could cause this and how to resolve?

Thanks,
Mundashie

My guess is its the belt slipping. Happens as they get older...

My first thought would be an exhaust leak. Does it do the same when everything is warn on a restart?

Thanks for your replies.

@Dave Mac: It doesn't do it on a warm restart.

ya i think the timing belt needs to be adjusted/tightened. If so then its a few minutes @ the dealer.

Its not the timing belt, the ES350 has a timing chain not a belt. Its the serpentine belt, it'll have to be replaced probably.
