Thats why I always insist on an OEM windshield when it needs to be replaced...

It's not there on the windshield, to replace the windshield with a new sensor is $500 through Safelite, I have not contacted the dealer on this, I will inquire about it Friday when I take it in for it's 50,000 mile service.

BMW has a better sensor too.

And be sure not to put rain-x over the sensor or it will never work.

I'm at the dealership now getting my 50,000 mile service, they are checking on this for me, but they may have to replace the windshield, I got a quote from Safelite and it's gonna be around $400.

No, I'm waiting on a quote from the dealership. It's not one of those things that I have done immediately.
