Default Sunshade Problem

My sunshade in the back is stuck. When I press the button, it would only go up by ~1 inch and stop. If I press it again then it go back down. Should not be a fuse problem because it is shared by multiple instruments.

Anyone had this problem before and know how to fix it? Thanks.

Could be that the shade is catching on something. Have somebody activate the switch when you are in the back and while the shade is going up try to shift it left and right to see if it is catching on something. If this doesn't work I would bring it into the Lexus dealer.
Good luck!

Thanks RTSM. I finally got a chance to try your suggestion. Over the weekend when my wife pressed the sunshade button, I gave it a little push in the back, it went all the way up and works perfectly since then. I do use it quite a bit especially in the summer time. Again thanks for the suggestion.

Glad it worked, I would bring your car into the dealer and let them know of the problem. They should be able to fix it under warranty. If your car is not under warranty then bring it in for the next service and ask them to check the problem out, many times the Lexus dealers I have used do some things for free as part of good customer service (you'll have better luck if you are doing a service).
