I notice that when i park very close to a wall, my front bumper does not alert me, but all around the car works. Is there a front middle sensor for park assist ??

No front middle sensor, up front they are out near the corners and don't pick up straight on.

Probably because those front center ones are reserved for cars higher up on the Lexus ladder

The GS has two front center sensors in addition to the corners; its parking display also shows wheel angle. The LS takes it another step with two more sensors on the side fenders of the car (making 6 in front)

Unfortunately, the ES being an "entry" level Lexus only gets two.

You are probably right.

If those pictures I just saw of the 2013 ES are correct it will certainly need more front bumper sensors.

I can only remember one other occurrence of something not being able to pick up objects straight on...

Good to know, because, i sometime go a few cm farther to see if it beeps, thank god i don't scratch my bumper for nothing. Thank you.
