Paint Problem
We have an 08 black sapphire ES 350--my wife's car--which I rarely drive. On Friday, I took it to one of the local Lexus dealers for some minor warranty-related work. While on my way back, I stopped to get gas. Then, I noticed some light scratches on the rear-quarter panel of the driver's side. Immediately on reaching home, very close to 5pm, I called my service rep, By that time, he probably had an early start on his holidays, so I left him a voicemail. To which, I hope he will return my call tomorrow. However, the scratches were not the worst-case scenario. Accordingly, I started checking the car out more thoroughly and found to my utter consternation several pit marks in the paint near the key hole of the trunk lid. The pits show through the paint, and white pin ****** can be seen. Did anyone of you have this paint pitting problem? What did you do about it? Did you take it to the dealer? Did the dealer fix it? Your answers will be highly appreciated.

There are no problems with our '07 paint (other than not being very tough). Taking yours to the dealer is the right thing to do.
Actually I do remember there was a chip in our front bumper when I first picked up the car which our dealer agreed to repaint. But that was right off the boat when the car was brand new.
