If your car came with HID, then all you'd need to do is replace the current bulbs with a new set of HID bulbs - the ones in the ES are D4S type. I have Philips Ultinon in mine, they are great.

However, based on your description, if your bulb is an H7, then you do not have HID. You will need to get a complete HID bulb/ballast kit to convert your headlights.

hope that answers your question

If your car came with HID's from the factory then you just need to replace the bulbs. The 08 ES 350 uses D4S HID bulbs. I recommend the Philips Ultinon D4S 6000k HID bulbs for this application - our Philips bulbs are genuine, German made and authentic

If you have H7 bulbs in your vehicle and you want to convert it to HID you will need an H7 HID kit. We offer the Volt HID kit and the Xtreme HID kit. Both kits are great quality and will work in your vehicle, you also get a $25 discount being a Club Lexus member - just enter coupon code CL upon checkout. We have been an active vendor on the forum since 2004.

A few questions on these kits if you don't mind.

The extreme kit is a little more how is it better then the volt kit?

Does the Philips kit that you sell $250 also work on the ES?

Does any of these kits need any additional relays or a h7 bulb spacer?

Hi,

As per your questions:

1) The ballasts we use in our Xtreme HID kit vs Volt HID kit are more efficient and have a lower starting draw. They also use a German made ASIC processor so that the ballast can monitor the bulb's power requirements on a realtime basis.

2) The Xtreme HID kit comes with a relay harness that enables you to power the ballasts directly from the battery as opposed to the OEM headlight harness. This will ensure that the ballasts always receive a constant 12V.

3) Xtreme HID kit /w Philips bulbs: Absolutely!

4) Unless I am mistaken, you will not need a space when installing this kit on the ES. Typically, the spacer you are referring to is found in Mazdas.

to answer your question about the spacer, i just converted from a H7 bulb (non HID) to a full HID kit today and needed a spacer. if you get a full out HID kit then it should come with a spacer however the kit i bought today did not. if your kit does not come with a spacer then you have a couple of opinions. one- go to any shop that sells/installs HID kits near you and they may be able to assist you or you can go to a home depot or lowes and buy a spacer that will work just the same. hope this helps
